Positioning background

Nowadays, Internet has become one dominant factor of business success. Internet is one efficient ways to win the competition in today's business world which is already become so congested. Unfortunately, there are still few companies in Indonesia who really understands the importance of Internet for their business. Those who understand though, many still walk through the wrong steps. Many companies think that utilizing the Internet for business is simply to create a website. They don't know that website is just a small piece of the online marketing strategy puzzle. Actually, developing an online marketing strategy means that you must develop a strategic planning with complex calculation of return of investment.

Those condition be the background why there are several companies in Indonesia which focuses in the field of Integrated online solution. But unfortunately, almost all of them (or lets say ALL of them) focuses their market on big corporate. They only serve big blue chip company because therein the money field located. So how about SME company? Who is helping them deal with this online strategy stuff?

This is where we, Univind, position ourselves. Our main business orientation is merit for as many people as possible instead of getting a lot of money. For us, money is just a side effect of the benefit we provide. that's why we dare to position ourselves as an integrated online solutions provider for SMEs (that in fact tend to be less money land here). All those big corporation can be successful with their online strategy because they are already quite large and with enough amount of capital. So it doesn't matter who is their consultant, their strategy could meet successive target as long as the strategy was executed profesionally. But what about the SMEs who are still searching for cracks for the shot forward. This is where we want to give our benefit for the SMEs. We want to help the SMEs to step forward through an integrated online strategy. If another consultant just help large companies only to be slightly larger. Then we want to make small companies capable of race forward and turned into a big company.

History

Univind was built at the beginning of 2006 by some civitas academica of University of Indonesia. Formerly, it named Apadonk Web Architecture and Graphic Design. Apadonk Web Architecture and Graphic Design was hardly focusing on web development services. At 2007, we change our company branding to Tunas Univindo Mandiri or Univind for short. At this time, we are trying to do some revolution to our business. This change on corporate branding was reflecting our business change. We want to show the world that we were always growing. Better and better everytime. Like the philosophy of "Tunas" (Indonesian term for "Sprout") which is always growing.

Month after month went by, Univind still expanding it's business orbit form time to time. By 2008, We were trying to expand our business into the web hosting and domain name solution. For this diversification, we did a business merger with a well known web hosting company in Indonesia named [N]eoHoster (http://www.neohoster.com). Recently, NeoHoster is officially become a business unit of Univind. Now it has several server running both in Indonesia and also US that serve our hosting clients.

Today, Univind is broaden it's service not only in web development. It takes a wider service spectrum regarding online need of business and organization. Univind now is taking a sharper positioning as an Integrated Online Solution provider especially for SME Business.
